Maths - Statistics
Maths - Statistics
The past 2 weeks we conducted investigations using the statistical enquiry cycle: posing and answering questions; gathering, sorting and counting, and displaying category data; discussing the results.
Our Specific Learning Outcomes:
- sort objects into categories for display
- make a display of the data collected (pictograph)
- make statements about data displays
We begin by looking at all the toys the students have brought to school.
We use a bar graph to make a display of our favourite toys.
We sorted our toys into categories for display and made statements about data displayed.
We also used the bar graph to fill in our own data! We ask our friends to tell us what their favourite colour is and we completed our own bar graph.

El Gregoe
Wow!! El Gregoe at Waltham School!
El Gregoe came to our school on Wednesday. He showed us some key values and how to treat others and to cut down bullying.
El Gregoe is using tricks, puppets, ventriloquism, music, song, stories and amazing props (including live parrots!), to convey those important messages.
